Recently, Anhui Huasheng announced the trial production results of its own heterojunction battery. It shows that the highest efficiency of the heterojunction cell on the 500MW mass production line officially put into production has reached 24.39%, and the average efficiency can also reach 23.8%, which has made significant progress.
Previously, OFweek Solar Photovoltaic Network introduced the heterojunction cell, which has a unique double-sided symmetric structure and excellent passivation effect of the amorphous silicon layer, so the upper limit of conversion efficiency is higher, and its production process is less, and the theoretical cost is Also lower.
However, the heterojunction cell was invented by Sanyo when the photovoltaic industry in Japan was developed. my country’s photovoltaic companies have mastered the core technology for the past ten years, focusing on BSF and PERC battery technology. Therefore, the core equipment of the heterojunction battery still needs to be imported. In addition, it also needs non-mainstream low-temperature silver paste. Compared with PERC battery, it is much more expensive.
After photovoltaics have entered the era of parity, although photovoltaic companies have attached great importance to reducing costs and increasing efficiency, leading companies pay more attention to reducing costs by increasing the production capacity of existing PERC cells compared to heterojunction cells, which are nearly twice as expensive. Instead, companies are more willing to develop new technologies.
It is reported that most of the heterojunction batteries of Anhui Huasheng used equipment from domestic enterprises, such as Maiwei, Zhongchenhao, etc., which controlled the cost well. With the further increase in production scale and the optimization of production links, the cost will be further reduced, attracting more companies to participate in the production of heterojunction cells, further reducing costs, and improving conversion efficiency, forming a virtuous circle.
Over time, on the basis of maintaining its own efficiency advantages, the cost of heterojunction cells is almost the same as that of PERC cells, which will allow my country's photovoltaic industry to enter a new stage.
